Behind the lens

I am a hopeless romantic, which is a useful thing to be in this job. I am married to my best friend Tim, mom to Everett and Evie, and I get to spend my weekends watching people promise each other everything. It is a very good way to make a living.

My work is bright and full of color, and almost none of it is posed in the stiff sense. I direct with movement instead: walk this way, pick her up, run. Give people something to do and they stop performing, and what is left is the way they actually are with each other. That is the part worth keeping.

I photograph weddings, engagements, families, newborns and brands, from home in Columbus to wherever your day happens to be. If you will let me steal you away for ten minutes of golden hour in the middle of your reception, we are going to get along.
